Structure:

BL-201 is a polydimethylsiloxane polymer manufactured to yield essentially linear polymers in a wide range of average kinematic viscosities from 1cst to 1000000cst.
It is highly soluble in organic solvents such as aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, and the halocarbon propellants used in aerosols. The fluid is easily emulsified in water with standard emulsifiers and normal emulsification techniques. But it is insoluble in water and many organic products.
These silicone fluids are colorless, odorless, tasteless, non-toxic, non-irritating and transparent liquids. They are also well-known as dimethyl silicone oil, Polydimethylsiloxane, or PDMS.

Application

1.  used as releasing agents for the production processing of rubber, plastic products and castings.

2. used as defoaming agents, lubricants, transformer oils, damping oils and diffusion pump fluids in petroleum, chemical, medical, pharmaceutical, food processing, textile, printing and dyeing, paper and other industries.

3. used as waterproof agents, paint additives, leather modifiers and softening agents.

4. used in the formulations of various cosmetics and personal care products, such as skin care products, make-up products, hair care products and other special products.

5. Surfactants for styrene-butadiene foam.
